Hi. My name is Rachel.

I was born and raised in Southern California and now live in the Midwest. I have a brother 20 months older and a sister 20 months younger.

As a child, I didn’t feel loved, wanted, accepted or like I belonged.

Traveling, Disney, board games, and weekly family prayer nights have been a part of my family for as long as I can remember. Since I was a child, I always had a song on my heart and in my mouth. I often found myself in school and church choirs, musicals, and Christmas plays.

I have wanted to go on missions trips at lest since junior high. I have been on a few 10 week ones in college.

I heard about the World Race over several years from several different friends who went on it. Why did I believe that God was leading the World Race to be a part of my journey? I deeply love people and love hearing their stories. I have God’s hope and light and want to give that to others. God has shown me that I am wanted, heard, accepted, loved, and seen. God has allowed me to show and tell that to others too.

I love to learn about different cultures and how that integrates with how they relate and accept God. I know I’m a warrior with prayer, worship, and God’s Words. Community is important. Not only will I have a strong community, but I will get to help build one for others. Authority is also important. We will get trained in discipleship.

I knew God was saying that it was finally time to apply.
